TRAINING DESCRIPTIONS:
OSHA FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY & HEALTH: 10hr OR 30hr
To work in Construction in New York, the Dept. of Buildings requires all persons to be 30HR trained [Local Law 196 of 2017]. Our OSHA for Construction Safety & Health is designed for the NYC Construction Environment. FSNY Trainers are agile enough to tailor the training program to multiple trades from Demolition to Roofing and everything in-between.
OSHA FOR GENERAL INDUSTRY SAFETY & HEALTH 10hr OR 30hr
FSNY is authorized to deliver OSHA for the General Industry. General Industry covers Building Operations, Industrial Manufacturing and even Nail Salon workers.
SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRAINING
Under Local Law 96 of 2018, employers with 15 or more employees are required to conduct annual anti-sexual harassment training for all employees. New York State Law requires that employers of one or more employees must conduct anti-sexual harassment training for all employees.
NYC DOB SST 10hr or 32hr COMBO
Local Law 196 of 2017 requires workers at job sites that must designate a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager to receive 30HRS of Site Safety Training and additional 10HRS of Training, Supervisors will need 62HRS of training.
NYC DOB SITE SAFETY: 8hr or 40hr
This course is one of the pre-requisites an applicant must successfully complete before being eligible to apply for the Site Safety Manager Certification Examination. In Addition, this course fulfills the training course requirements for Site Safety Coordinator and Construction Superintendent Certification in New York City
SUPPORTED OR SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD TRAINING: 4hr or 16hr or 32hr
NYC Local Law 52 requires all individuals who use a supported scaffold, including the person supervising such, to complete training by a Dept. of Buildings-approved training provider. These courses are repeated every four years.
DOT CONSTRUCTION SITE TRAFFIC MANAGER FLAGGER
Students who attend Flagger Awareness Training at FSNY will learn OSHA standards under Subpart G [CFR 29 1926] regulations under Manual of Uniform Control Devices, PPE requirements for Flaggers and techniques to safely control and direct traffic around construction activities.
FIRST AID/ CPR: AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
Basic life support (BLS) training reinforces healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing CPR, choking relief, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.
