What are the FSNY COVID-19 Policies?
At FSNY our number one concern is our employees, our clients/ customers and vendors. Below are our policies:
- ALL employees must participate in self monitoring, temperature monitoring and contact tracing when teaching at the FSNY Training Center or in the onsite teaching opportunities as well as onsite inspections or audits conducted by FSNY.
- All FSNY employees must frequently wash their hands by way of soap and water or hand sanitizer throughout the work shift.
- ALL clients, customers, vendors, contractors or visitors MUST wear face covering (properly) at ALL times while in the FSNY Training Center.
- ALL clients, customers, vendors, contractors or visitors MUST have their temperature taken upon entering the FSNY Training Center.
- ALL clients, customers, vendors, contractors or visitors MUST wash their hands by way of soap and water or hand sanitizer upon entering the FSNY Training Center.

When will my card arrive? (Osha 10hr, Osha 30hr, 10hr SST, 32hr SST)
After the completion of your training, we ask that you give us two to four weeks to get your completion cards.
Do you offer discounts for Groups?
At FSNY we love groups and we are creative when it comes to group discounts. Please contact our office at (917) 909-1777 or info@FSNY.nyc for more information.
What are the policies on cancellation, rescheduling, and lateness
Cancellations: We will allow anyone to cancel his or her training up to 24hours in advance of the training at a full refund. Cancellation that occurs inside this time frame will result in a cancellation fee of $55.
Rescheduling: Please contact our office at (917) 909-1777 or info@FSNY.nyc as soon as possible regarding your rescheduling. Most reschedules carry a $35 administrative fee per day(s) missed.
Late to Training: Each training class has its own attendance requirements and some training classes have a 100% attendance policy. Please contact our office at (917) 909-1777 or info@FSNY.nyc for more information.
Under most circumstances, FSNY has a grace period to accommodate late arrivals. We would encourage you to contact the training center for individualized assistance if you anticipate arriving in excess of 15 minutes after the course start time.
What happens if I miss/can’t make my class?
We understand that life happens and that you may need to miss a training class. We follow OSHA & NYC DOB guidelines for attendance. Contact our office at (917) 909-1777 or info@FSNY.nyc for more information to find out what training guidelines your training program falls under.
What is your refund policy?
For all training courses you must cancel training 24hr prior to your training course in order to receive a 100% refund. Any refund requested for training that has already started must be discussed and determined on a case by case basis.
What other languages are courses given in?
At FSNY we are proud to serve our community in NYC and offer all of our training courses is English, Spanish & Cantonese / Fujianese / Mandarin
What is the 40hr SST? Do I need to take it?
The New York City Dept. of Building has a requirement for ALL workers working on Active NYC DOB Permitted worksites to have taken a total of 40hrs of Training. The 40hrs is a combination of training classes. Below is a general breakdown.
30hr OSHA for Construction Safety & Health
8hr Fall Protection Training
2hr Drug & Alcohol
= 40hrs
How do I get there? (train/bus)
The FSNY Training Center is located in the heart of Sunset Park, Brooklyn at 261 46th St. 3rd Floor Brooklyn, NY 11220.
Trains: R (Sometimes N or W) to 45th St Station
Bus: B37 to 46th & 3rd Ave
Is there parking?
There is street parking on 46th St and the surrounding streets. There is also parking under the BQE [Brooklyn Queens Expressway].
What kinds of payments do you take?
We take various types of payment. Cash, Money Order, Credit Card [with % fee] and Company Check.
Can you mail me my card, or do I come pick it up?
After we process your card we will contact you via the contact information you registered with. We will give you the option of coming back to the FSNY Training Center to pick up your card or we will mail your completion card to the address you registered with. When we send cards, we send them via Certified mail [USPS]. This method of shipping allows us to track the parcel via USPS for accuracy.
What happens if I lose one of my cards or certificates?
We encourage you to keep track of ALL of your completion cards and strongly suggest you make color copies or scan ALL of your completion cards to keep for your professional records. In the event that you do lose any of your completion cards contact our office at (917) 909-1777 or info@FSNY.nyc for more information on the replacement process. ****REPLACEMENT TRAINING CARDS OR CERTIFICATES HAVE TO BE TRAINING CLASSES TAKEN FROM A FRONTLINE SAFETY NY INSTRUCTOR.
Do you offer job placements?
We are not an employment agency, but do encourage our customers and clients to network to grow opportunities.
Will my Osha card expire?
Technically ALL OSHA Cards do not expire, BUT if you are working on an active NYC DOB Construction site, your OSHA card cannot be more than five(5) years old
How many days is each course?
Our training courses follow strict OSHA, NYC DOB, NYS/NYC DOT or FDNY guidelines and we follow the suggested hours per training. Contact our office at (917) 909-1777 or info@FSNY.nyc for more information to find out what training guidelines your training program falls under.
I took the 10hr & would like to take the OSHA 10hr & would like to take the 30hr. Does the 10hr count towards the Osha 30hr?
To level up your 10hr OSHA training card to the 30hr OSHA training card, we adhere to the OSHA Guidelines. a) The same instructor who taught your 10hr OSHA training MUST also teach your 30hr OSHA training. b) The OSHA 30hr MUST be completed within six months of original 10hr OSHA training. AND c) The original 10hr OSHA MUST be surrendered and returned to the original OTI.
What types of photo ID are acceptable?
We adhere to OSHA guidelines when it comes to photo IDs. Drivers License, Non-Drivers License ID, NYC ID, EBT Card only w/ Photo, Passport, Veteran ID, Military ID or any other Government ID.
What do I need to bring for the training?
Prior to arrival at an FSNY training event please bring a valid photo ID and a method of payment. We have sanitized pens and unused notepads for each student, but please feel free to bring your own.
Do you offer onsite training?
We do offer onsite training and can accommodate most training programs. We consider the following; location of training, date and time, feasibility to deliver training in the onsite environment, number of students,
If my employer paid for my training, will I still be able to receive my card?
Your employer can sponsor your training, but to be clear, you are entitled to the completion card. Your employer CANNOT hold your training credential as a form of retribution for employment. We encourage ALL students to communicate with your respective employers to understand your company’s policies on Employee Training.
